The Scoundrel
Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2024
No-one gets called a Scoundrel anymore and we think that’s scandalous!
A tantalising triplicity of taste, featuring Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro that feel just right when they tango together. A bouncy layer of Grenache provides lip-smacking raspberries that happily play with a solid stack of spicy Shiraz, both complemented by a bass note of meaty Mataro.

Winemaker's Notes
Grenache is a great solo artist, and also strong enough to happily share the stage. The subtle interplay of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro leaves no second fiddles in this trio. It’s just a matter of fine tuning how much and where.
Bouquet & Palate
An audacious cascade of bright raspberry and cherry backed by donut glaze and sourdough. Cinnamon and ginger; marvellous. A succulent palate slides, and grips at the sides, as all the while it glides, reverberating and ululating. A core of red fruit the very eye of the storm of darker berries, eddying all over. Plush and rolling.
Food Match
Butter-basted ribeye with crunchy fennel salad, or an Oyster mushroom and leek risotto.
