Black bloods collection

The Black Blood series is a journey into McLaren Vale Shiraz, three wines, three vineyards, one experiment in terroir. Terroir is the word winemakers use for everything a specific patch of ground gives a wine: its altitude, climate, rainfall, and soil.

Each Black Blood comes from a different Hugh Hamilton vineyard, with its own distinct terroir. Everything else, picking dates, winemaking approach, oak regime, maturation, stays exactly the same. The only thing that changes is the ground, so the only thing you’re really tasting is the place itself.
