'Three-Card Monte' Tasting Notes

Vintage 2017
Region McLaren Vale
Winemaker's Notes Australia has always excelled in creating red blends – merging classic European varieties in un-thought of ways to create unthinkably good new combinations. Cabernet and Shiraz are one such classic collision; Bordeaux meets the Rhone. It’s only Australian to add a slab of Abruzzo too.
Drink 2-8 years
Bouquet Exotic interplay of violets, iodine, thyme, and iron. Blueberries, raspberries, dark cherries, plums, and pink lady apples. Red liquorice, and brown sugar.
Palate The textured palate is heavy weight and a heavy hitter with incredible length. This three-card is compelling and delicious. A sure bet.
Food Match Smoked BBQ Brisket – or pretty much anything big and hearty.
