5 reviews for ‘The Floozie’ Sangiovese Rosé 2019

My husband and I spend a lot of time trying to find the perfect rose, we taste one every time we come across it, and there are few that tick the box. The Floozie is one that does. It has a nice floral start with a hint of sweetness, and a lovely dry finish. One of our favourites!. Cate

I love Rose and this is a fantastic find, it has become my favourite go to Rose. Perfect balance of sweet and dry for me and a crisp finish. This is also at a very affordable price. Highly recommend for all Rose drinkers.

  3. Brooke Rand

One of my favourites! It’s just the perfect amount of sweetness and dryness!

  4. Mel van Leeuwen

I absolute love this rose, it is not too sweet with a nice dry finish. Perfect for summer days, with a BBQ, white meat or spicy food. The best rose I have ever tasted!

This is a Summertime favourite for me – easy drinking with or without food, not too sweet but not too dry – it’s just right!

'The Floozie' Tasting Notes

Vintage 2019
Vineyard Church Vineyard
Winemaker's Notes A decade ago, fresh young reds were rare, and rarely taken seriously. These days they are more common, and critics pay much more attention! We are not after attention per se; our aim is to take the best of Sangiovese - always the core of ‘The Mongrel’ - and build on it, in a perfumed, savoury, unchallenging style: fresh, bright and lively!
Drink Now through the next two years
Bouquet A fruity-earthy mix of tar, raspberry, and maple syrup.
Palate A supple textured, muscular palate of length and mid-weight. The intense perfume ‘blooms’ across the palate. Crunchy. Shiny polished leather.
Food Match A simple pasta e polpette (meat-balls) dish with grated parmesan and fresh parsley. In fact any rich, tomato-based dish will be a perfect match!
