    This little drop is a pleasant surprise, brought it for the Father-In-Law, but it didn’t make it. So I had to buy another bottle for him and send it directly to him. Great Taste, smooth and just a pleasure to drink on both hot and cold days.

'Blackout' Tasting Notes


Vintage 2017
Winemaker's Notes Tinta Roriz – more commonly known here as Tempranillo – is considered by the Portuguese to be among the very finest varieties for the production of Port. Our Fortified takes this, drier, vintage style as our template for the Blackout. Brighter, more textural, and massively fruit driven - this isn’t anything like a common Tawny.
Drink This is built to last; 1 – 20 years
Bouquet A riot of plums, palm sugar, burnt orange, anise, rosewood, and fresh mint. Hugely lifted aromatically.
Palate The palate is savoury, lengthy, and textural. Finishing crisply; coffee grounds and perfumed leather.
Food Match Under the cover of darkness, pull out a platter of your favourite cheeses. Try an Italian blue or some Adelaide Hills camembert.
