The Black Ops, 2018 Shiraz-Sap was delicious. Did not last long at all…
Full body with little Tanin and a hint of berries.

  2. Steve Grimbergen

By far my favourite HH wine! Deep colour, full of flavour with a long finish. I am never disappointed when “Black Ops” is the glass.

  3. Caitlin

Black Ops is so delicious. Vibrant and flavourful. My favourite of the Hugh Hamilton Dark Arts range.

Winemaker's Notes At the Western end of our Black Sheep Block is a pocket of Shiraz that lands a mighty punch of meaty-spiciness that couples perfectly with our exotic Saperavi. Contrasting, but complimentary and complex, this has fast become the backbone of the Black Ops Blend.
Drink Now through 10 years
Bouquet White pepper, dried ginger, raspberry and cinnamon. Violets and rye soaked in soy sauce, sandalwood and black olives.
Palate Full bodied, intense in character and texture. An exotic and delicious printers’ ink full of tales of daring along the spice road.
Food Match Team it up with a classic Reuben Sandwich; perhaps swap out the corned beef for smoky beetroot to match the mix.
